Welcome to your new home little ones

Welcome to your new home little ones

Today is 10.01 which is fitting as we welcomed our last cat to our home on 22.02, so patterned dates is an emerging running theme for welcoming new cat friends to our home.

I've decided to keep little notes of how they're settling in as a nice way to keep people up to date with how they're doing and also as a nice momento to look back on when they are more settled.

Their names are Laurel and Hetty, Auntie and Niece. Two stunningly beautiful little black cats who we fostered from Meows Kitten and Cats charity. They arrived at lunch time, very scared in their crates. They were brought by their foster mum and a member of the charity who were amazing cat people, they were on their way to pick up a cat from a vet in Manor Park who'd been there since November to give them their forever home.

One of the ladies remarked on how she'd never seen cats stay in their crates for so long, they were extremely reluctant to leave their safe spaces. They eventually left their crates for the comfort of an upside down mindful chef box with a blanket underneath and a little hole as a door in the front.

We're leaving them to it for now, I can't imagine how scary it must be to be caged, escorted across Essex to North London, and left in a strangers flat without warning or preparation! Hopefully we will get to know them soon, but for now, wishing them some sleep, some food, some dreamies, and some peace.
