Ladies of the Night

Well, well, well.

Ollie set up two cameras in the flat, one in the living room and one in the spare bedroom, so that we could check to see if any night time activity took place. What a treat we woke up to!

We boiled the kettle, made a cup of tea, and sat down to watch the most edge-of-your-seat exhilarating adventure film of 2025. The little ones well and truly sniffed each centimetre of the spare bedroom at the start of the night, establishing their surroundings whilst nibbling some yummy cat food in between sniffs. Leaving no scent unsniffed, they ventured into unknown lands - the living room.

They sat on the sofa, under the sofa, on the armchair, on the TV stand, explored the alcohol trolley, scoped out potential hiding places. What progress!

Around 3.30 in the morning they had discovered the joy of jumping onto the top of the bookcase. Good Fritz household instincts must be strong with these cats as they immediately spotted Ollie's big 3D printed D20 dice and rolled it onto the floor, waking up Saz in the process. Future D&D naturals in the making!

Knocking items onto the floor might become another frequent game the Fritz household. Ollie found a little sample box that was on the side in the ensuite in the middle of his shower this morning. Only a well angled aim from a trained kitty could've made such a shot, giving us clues that the explorers ventured out even further in the night. For obvious reasons there is no camera in the ensuite bathroom that captured this moment.

A fun quirk we noticed was that one of the little girls (Laurel, we believe) likes to put her front paws up onto the spare bed or the windowsill leaving her back paws on the floor/spare bed. She then shimmies across sideways in a very elegant manner, giving us big Lara Croft vibes. Lara is now a strong contender for her new forever name.

As we're obviously scary humans during the day, we guess that the little ones feel more comfortable in the knowledge that we're tucked away in bed and will be nighttime explorers. What adventures will tomorrow night bring? We already can't wait to see!!
